Is this a paid internship?

What does the hiring process consist of?

  • Preliminary phone interviews
  • Two 30-minute interviews
  • Interview with several members of our leadership team
  • Pre-employment screening (background check and physical)

When do interviews take place?
Interviews occur in November and December.

How do I get assigned to a team?
Your team assignment will be sent to you in an email closer to the start date of the internship. During your interview, you will be asked about your interests. Prepare a list of interests that you feel would help place you with the best team during your internship.

What teams might I be placed with?
While you’re not guaranteed to be placed with a specific team, you can reference the IT Team Descriptions found on our homepage.

Will I do real IT work?
Yes, you will work with members of your team to complete projects with them independently. You will work on applications that are used in the real world.

What are some of the day-to-day activities that I will be doing?
Daily internship activities depend on the team that you are assigned to, and projects vary from year to year.

What majors are accepted?
We are open to any majors, but applicants must be IT proficient.

What are we looking for in a candidate?
We are looking for the best of the best, including those who will thrive working with a team and independently, those who will go above and beyond what is expected, and leaders and innovators.

How many hours a week will you work?
You work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

Is a housing stipend provided?
A housing stipend is not provided, but this is a paid internship.

Do you need your own transportation?
No, there is university transportation and public transportation through Mountain Line Transit Authority, but it is highly recommended to have your own car. Transportation needs are dependent on the team you are placed with.

Is there a dress code?
During the internship, you will have to wear business casual clothing.
