The WVU Medicine Dietetic Internship Program provides loans to eligible students through the U.S. Department of Education. To apply for financial aid or learn more, please contact the internship director and review the most current financial aid policies. Prospective students should not apply for financial aid through West Virginia University since our internship is associated with, but not part of, West Virginia University.

WVU Medicine dietetic internship students are provided with:

  • Free off-campus parking with shuttle transportation
  • A low-cost WVU Medicine gym membership ($3)
  • A pre-paid meal debit card for hospital cafeteria use
  • An intern office with computers and free printing

Internship Expenses

In-state tuition – $5,500 (included in Marshall University fees)
Out-of-state tuition – $6,000 (included in Marshall University fees)

Marshall University master’s degree (online option)

The master’s degree fee includes internship tuition plus additional non-tuition costs listed below. The itemized list of potential expenses is estimated and subject to change. Please realize the amount will vary according to individual circumstances.

Tuition is charged at the same rate for both resident and non-resident distance interns enrolled in the Marshall University Master of Science/WVU Medicine Dietetic Internship (MS/DI). The cost reflects the cost of both the master’s degree and internship. If financial assistance is needed, please contact Marshall for those resources.

The total cost of $18,360 does not include the E-delivery course fees (discussed below).

Respective portions of tuition are billed during the fall, spring, and summer intersession semesters. The tuition amount is subject to increase if Marshall University’s tuition is raised.

The student is responsible for a $50 E-delivery course fee per credit hour for this program (36 total online credit hours). Please visit the Distance Learning and Tuition Fees Website for more information. Note: This fee is not included in the dollar amount listed above.
