Emergency Psychiatric Services

Our Behavioral Health Professionals are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide crisis intervention and direction of care. If you or someone you know is experiencing an emergency psychiatric crisis, go to your local emergency room or call our inpatient unit for assistance at 304-221-3027.

While our Behavioral Health Unit is not a detoxification facility, we do provide treatment to those patients with a secondary diagnosis of substance abuse. Eligibility for admission is determined after a qualified mental health professional assesses the prospective patient and then consults with the psychiatrist. Once the psychiatrist determines the eligibility of the patient, inpatient behavioral health services (or other services as indicated) are offered.

For those wishing to discontinue consistent use of alcohol or benzodiazepines, it is essential to complete a medically supervised detoxification process.

If patient is assessed and found to only have addiction issues, they will be referred to our  BreakThru program for medical detox.
