Finding Wellness
Our flagship course, Finding Wellness, is designed to help you improve your personal health. This free, eight-week course is led by health professionals – including health coaches, dietitians, personal trainers, and physicians.
Course details:
- Open to anyone in the community
- Classes are held Tuesdays from 5 – 6:30 pm. You can attend:
- In person at WVU Medicine University Town Centre in Morgantown
- Virtually via Microsoft Teams (a link will be emailed to you)

Class topics include:
- Cooking Demo – Discover how easy and delicious healthy cooking can be, with opportunities to taste test new foods.
- Fitness – Explore the physical and mental benefits of exercise through a variety of activities.
- Making Smarter Goals – Assess your motivation and identify influences that help or hinder your success.
- Menu Planning – Learn strategies for meal planning and incorporating healthier food choices.
- Mindful Eating – Recognize triggers for mindless eating and develop techniques to eat more intentionally.
- Portion Control – Learn how to read food labels, avoid common pitfalls, and manage portions effectively.
- Stress Management – Understand unhealthy coping habits and learn ways to reduce stress and quiet the mind.
- Supermarket Safari – Gain practical skills for healthier grocery shopping by comparing labels and prices.
Building Wellness
New to the Finding Wellness platform, Building Wellness is an extension of our eight-week program. This year-long course offers additional support for sustainable lifestyle changes. Sessions are held virtually once a month for one hour and include a real-time moderation by a nationally board-certified health and well-being coach.

- Virtual showings of pre-recorded lectures are available at various days and times for flexibility.

- In-class chat feature to converse in real time with a health and wellness coach
- A variety of topics expand on those from Finding Wellness and include additional lectures on fitness, relationships, sleep health, and more.
- Additional resources, such as recipes and worksheets, are provided.
- Cost: $10 per month
Keeping Wellness
All graduates of the Finding Wellness program are invited to attend our Keeping Wellness support group, which meets four times a year on a Tuesday from 5 – 6 pm.
Keeping Wellness explores new and engaging topics not covered in the original program to continue supporting your wellness journey.
