WVU Medicine is proud to bring world-class healthcare to Marion County and the surrounding communities at the Fairmont Medical Center, a campus of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Our emergency and inpatient services complement the primary and specialty care already provided at the WVU Medicine Outpatient Center, located near the Gateway Connector, and the West Fairmont Clinic on Locust Avenue.
Fairmont Medical Center is home to a full-service emergency department, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, staffed by board-certified physicians and equipped with lab and imaging services. Forty-two acute care inpatient beds are available with stepdown, telemetry, floor, and observation levels of care. We also offer a cardiology clinic with rotating specialists from the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute.
