On-Demand Urgent Care video visits are available for both children (ages 3 and older) and adults, with services billed directly to your insurance.

Local WVU Medicine providers are available 8 am to 8 pm, 363 days a year, including evenings, weekends, and most holidays. Please note: services are not available on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Prepare for Your Urgent Care Video Visit

You can have your urgent care virtual visit on your phone, tablet, or PC — it’s up to you. If your personal computer is a Mac, we recommend using a mobile device instead.

  • Join your visit from a quiet, well-lit location.
  • Use a Wi-Fi connection whenever possible.
  • Write down questions before your visit.
  • Make a list of any prescription and over-the-counter medications you take regularly.
  • Keep a pencil and paper handy to write down notes and care instructions during your visit.
  • Review your health insurance information to see what you’ll pay out of pocket for care. Many plans provide coverage similar to an in-person urgent care visit.

Check Your Hardware in Advance

For the best connection, use the MyChart app on your phone or tablet; it’s compatible with Apple and Android devices. We also recommend connecting over Wi-Fi and closing all other apps. Don’t forget to double-check that your camera and microphone are working.

Technical Support

All patients, including those who don't have a MyChart account, may receive technical support by calling the MyChart help desk 24/7 at 866-982-4278.
