Thomas Memorial Hospital

Resident Wellness

YOU MATTER

Residency is both an exciting and demanding journey, and at Thomas Memorial Hospital, we are committed to supporting the well-being of every resident throughout their training. We believe that exceptional physicians thrive in an environment that prioritizes personal wellness, professional fulfillment, and a healthy work-life balance.

Our program intentionally incorporates opportunities for residents to recharge, connect with one another, and build lasting relationships outside of the clinical setting. Throughout the academic year, residents participate in wellness events, team-building activities, and social gatherings that foster camaraderie, resilience, and a strong sense of community.

In addition, every resident is paired with a dedicated faculty mentor who provides individualized guidance, encouragement, and career development throughout residency. Regular mentor meetings create a supportive space to discuss professional goals, celebrate achievements, navigate challenges, and promote personal well-being.

At Thomas Memorial Hospital, wellness is more than a program; it is a core value. We are dedicated to cultivating a culture where residents feel supported, respected, and empowered to succeed both inside and outside the hospital. By investing in the health and well-being of our learners, we help prepare compassionate, resilient physicians who are equipped to provide outstanding care to the communities they serve.
