WVU Continuing Education Program Overview
West Virginia University’s Office of Continuing Education provides accredited continuing medical education (CME) and professional development opportunities for healthcare providers across West Virginia and surrounding regions. The program supports lifelong learning through:
- Online Web Courses: Covering topics such as pain management, pediatric care, ultrasound techniques, mental health, and more
- Live Conferences and Webinars: Regularly scheduled events for in-depth learning and networking
- Accredited CME Activities: Designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Special Programs: Including the IMPACT WV modules focused on substance use, child development, and stigma reduction
Many courses are free to view, and WVU Medicine and Health Sciences employees often receive complimentary CE credit by using their institutional email.
