WVU CANCER INSTITUTE
Biospecimen Translational Research Analysis (BioTRAC)
Biospecimen Translational Research Analysis (BioTRAC) collects, processes, and distributes patient biospecimens — blood, urine, stool, sputum, and tissue — and links each sample back to its clinical data.
Staff handle everything from simple collection and distribution through full processing of plasma, serum, PBMC/RBC isolation, tissue freezing, embedding, and both routine and specialty staining.
Because every request and specimen is logged, BioTRAC gives the WVU Cancer Institute an auditable record of biospecimen use across the Institute.
