UHC Family Medicine Residency
Residency ProgramUHC’s Family Medicine Residency is fully accredited by ACGME and AOA, with a legacy since 1975 of producing outstanding physicians—evidenced by five consecutive years of 100% ABFM and AOBFP board pass rates and consistently high satisfaction from patients, residents, and faculty. Training occurs in an NCQA Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home with an interdisciplinary team and robust electives, including Osteopathic and Integrative Medicine tracks, to tailor development to each resident’s goals.
Transition to Practice – Graduate Nurse Bridge Program
UHC’s Transition to Practice – Graduate Nurse Bridge Program is ANCC PTAP–accredited, making it one of only a few officially accredited programs of its kind in West Virginia. Guided by our mission, vision, and values—Compassion, Communication, Commitment, and Competence—the six-month program builds clinical confidence and judgment through classroom learning, preceptor-led patient care, multidisciplinary experiences, and monthly professional development.
School of Radiologic Technology
Radiologic Technology ProgramUHC’s School of Radiologic Technology offers a 22.5-month certificate program starting each August, combining classroom, lab, and supervised clinical training led by ARRT-certified faculty and preceptors. Through a strategic partnership with Pierpont Community & Technical College, graduates may also earn an Associate Degree, and the program holds the maximum 8-year accreditation from JRCERT.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Diagnostic Medical SonographyUHC’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography certificate is an 18-month advanced program (beginning each July) for graduates of accredited Radiologic Technology programs, blending didactic coursework with extensive clinical training in abdomen, vascular, obstetric, and gynecologic sonography. The Vascular, OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Extended DMS tracks are accredited by CAAHEP upon the recommendation of the JRC-DMS, preparing graduates for professional practice.
