Butterfly Kiss Support Group
Butterfly Kiss meets at UHC monthly; sessions are open to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer and interested in help following a diagnosis and/or treatment. Support and educational programs are provided.

Heart Health
American Heart Association Training Center
United Hospital Center provides various courses according to American Heart Association standards. Courses are offered for both the healthcare provider and community members. Course offerings include: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Life Support) and Heartsaver courses including First Aid.
Course Descriptions:
- BLS – Basic Life Support teaches the skills of managing the first few minutes in the American Heart Association Chain of Survival. Skills include establishing unresponsiveness, opening and maintaining the airway, assessing for signs of circulation, and providing chest compressions.
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support uses AHA core cases and standardized algorithms to teach the advanced skills required to manage a victim in cardiac arrest as well as recognition and rapid intervention during the pre and post arrest periods.
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support uses AHA core cases and standardized algorithms to teach the advanced skills required to prevent and treat respiratory and cardiac arrest in the pediatric population.

Maternal-Child
Childbirth Classes
Mom and coach learn about preparing for the coming birth experience and basic infant care.
Tuesdays for four sessions.
Learn about childbirth in a fun, interactive environment.

Sibling Tour and Explore
Big brothers and sisters get a preview of what is to come with the birth of their new baby. For ages 3-6 only.

Breast Feeding Education
Mothers who are breast feeding their babies are encouraged to attend a class to learn basic techniques for successful breast feeding from UHC’s certified lactation specialist. These classes are scheduled prior to delivery.

Newborn Care
During this class, new moms can learn basic infant care before they deliver. Topics include infant bathing, cord care, circumcision care, car seat safety information, immunization information, and more.

Cesarean Expectations and Tour
Women who are having a scheduled Cesarean Section can learn what to expect from their hospital stay and tips for maintaining good health after surgery. A tour of the Maternal-Child unit is provided.
