Home Infusion

About

WVU Medicine Home Infusion provides outpatient home infusion services that allow patients to receive infusion therapies for a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions without traveling to a clinic or infusion center. Some infusions traditionally require inpatient care, and we are proud to provide this convenient, yet equally effective option for you.

We coordinate with your provider to give you the best home infusion experience, and our pharmacists carefully oversee your medical care. Nurses who have received comprehensive training and are highly skilled at the special handling and complex administration of infusion medications will visit your home.

Common therapies available through our home infusion services include antibiotics and other antimicrobials, hydration therapy, and specialty medications, such as immunoglobulins or monoclonal antibodies.

WVU Medicine Home Infusion prepares and dispenses the medications, supplies, and equipment necessary for your home infusion visit. We also offer patient education to help you stay informed about your condition and available options.
