WVU Medicine GOLISANO Children’s

About Us

How do you define WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s, a place where lives are changed? Where miracles happen? Where we can help shape the future?

WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s is more than just a hospital. We’re a family of doctors, nurses, and other professionals who share the same goal: to provide the best possible care to any child who needs it.

We chose careers in pediatric health care because we love connecting with (and supporting) kids of all ages. And because many of us are parents, too, we know how important it is to find a medical provider you trust. You want to work with specialists who care about your child’s health and well-being as much as you do.

Mission: Building healthier futures for our children

Vision: Delivering the best possible outcomes for the children who need our care.

A Higher Level of Experience

WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s is home to the state’s largest—and most experienced—group of pediatric primary care physicians and specialists. We offer expertise in nearly every childhood condition, no matter how rare or serious.

We have the West Virginia’s only pediatric cardiac surgery program; pediatric neurosurgery program; and epilepsy monitoring unit equipped to serve children.

If there’s a health emergency, we have a fully dedicated pediatric emergency department and trauma center.

All of this means your child can get the right diagnosis, the right treatment, in the right time, right here in West Virginia

When you turn to us for care, you’ll find that...

We care big by showing empathy for our team, our patients, and their families.
We lift each other up by empowering and supporting every individual voice and role.
We build bridges by closely collaborating across departments and disciplines to provide superior care.
We walk in each other’s work shoes by having empathy for our fellow co-workers and always having their back,
We build trust throughout our organization by being honest, open, and transparent.
We do what we love and it shows by promoting a positive environment of caring, inclusion, and happiness.
