Smoking is the number one cause of preventable death and disability. As a healthcare organization, we have an obligation to provide a healthy, tobacco-free environment.
Our campus is tobacco and smoke-free, including the use of electronic smoking devices, vapor products, and chewing tobacco. All buildings and grounds are tobacco and smoke-free; the tobacco and smoke-free policy applies to all areas surrounding our buildings, sidewalks, and parking lots.
WVU Medicine offers several options for people who use tobacco products and want to quit. You can access the Tobacco-Cessation Program Guide, which lists resources and workshops for community residents, students, and employees by contacting the WV Tobacco Quit Line at 1-877-966-8784.
If you want to quit smoking and need help, contact one of the following organizations. They can provide you with current information, advice, and suggestions for beginning the end of your tobacco use.
