Dining and Vending
The cafeteria at Thomas Memorial Hospital is open 7 – 10 am for breakfast and 11 am – 6 pm for lunch every day.
Subway® offers a full menu of subs, wraps, and salads in the Thomas Memorial Cafeteria. Subway® is open 7 days a week from 7 am to 6 pm.
Cafe ’46, located in the cafeteria at Thomas Memorial Hospital, serves Starbucks brand coffee and treats. Open Monday – Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm.
Vending machines are located throughout Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Information Desk
An ambassador service is located at the Information Desk, which is located at the main entrance of Thomas Memorial Hospital. An ambassador can also be reached for directions or questions by calling 304-766-5411 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
In Room Services
All patient rooms include a TV and telephone. Many rooms offer smart TVs, which allow patients and visitors to log in to their streaming applications.
Spiritual Care
Thomas Memorial Hospital offers a range of spiritual care support services for patients and their family members during hospitalization. Our interfaith chaplains are available to support you and your family during what can be an anxious and uncertain time.
Our chaplains offer a compassionate presence and support in ways that are meaningful to you, which may include:
- Connecting patients and families to spiritual resources
- Giving support during decision-making
- Listening to your story
- Offering grief support
- Providing religious services or rituals
- Responding to emergency or crisis situations
- Visiting with patients and family
Thomas Memorial Hospital’s Chapel is located on the 1st floor past the Pharmacy and across from the Thomas elevators; everyone is welcome.
Wi-Fi
Computers, tablets, and smartphones with wireless capability can connect to the internet with FriendsConnect, a free, wireless service provided by Friends of WVU Hospitals. If you have trouble with your internet connection, please call the WVU Medicine Help Desk at 304-598-4357. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
