Grant Memorial Hospital offers pain management services in the Radiology Department through computed tomography (CT) fluoroscopic-guided injections.
Injection treatments are widely used to relieve long-term chronic pain. This includes spinal injections to relieve spinal, visceral, and various body pains.
Fluoroscopy has the benefit of offering real-time imaging and tracking of any movement of the targeted area and its reaction to a needle. Steroid injections can last up to six weeks, but the effects of the injection can sometimes last much longer, depending on the patient and pain level.
A referral from a primary care provider is required.
