These courses in Morgantown train students to become eligible for hospital coding specialist and analyst positions. Fifteen candidates and two alternates are selected to complete this program. Upon completion of the course, students sit for the Certified Procedural Coding (CPC) exam.
A committee reviews the applicant pool and determines potential candidates. Class members are selected using standardized criteria, including the results of a pre-test administered during an interview.
