Banking/ATMs

An ATM machine is located just outside the cafeteria entrance directly across from the gift shop.

Dining and Vending

At Harrison Community Hospital, our cafeteria provides a variety of meal options, including home-cooked dishes and convenient heat-and-serve items for patients and visitors.

Cafeteria Hours:
Open daily

  • Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Lunch/Dinner: 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Vending Machines:
Available 24/7 in the Emergency Department registration area, offering a selection of snacks and beverages.

Bringing Food to Patients:
To ensure patient safety and dietary compliance, please check with the nurse on duty before bringing any outside food or drinks to patients.

Waiting Areas

There are specially designated lounge areas for visitors by the Emergency Department, Inpatient floor, and in the main lobby.

In Room Services

Meals
Patients are served breakfast at 7:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m., and dinner at 4:30 p.m. Snacks are available throughout the day based on individual dietary needs and physician recommendations.

Hospital Room Phones
Family and friends may contact the inpatient nursing unit by calling 740-942-4631. Nursing staff will assist in connecting calls directly to the patient’s room.

Prescriptions
Harrison Community Hospital provides inpatient pharmacy services to meet prescription needs during hospitalization. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Social Services
Supportive counseling services are available to inpatients, individuals receiving end-of-life care, and their families, as well as patients facing crisis situations. Our Social Services team also coordinates comprehensive discharge planning for patients of all ages. Services include assistance with nursing home or rehabilitation placement, in-home care coordination, durable medical equipment arrangements, and transportation planning.

A social worker or discharge planning nurse is available after hours and may be reached through the nursing or floor supervisor if an urgent concern arises.

Spiritual Care

The chapel at Harrison Community Hospital provides a peaceful and relaxing environment where visitors can reflect, meditate, or pray. Located across from the nurse’s station, visitors and patients of any or no faith tradition are welcome. The space is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Wi-Fi

Computers, tablets, and smartphones with wireless capability can connect to the internet with FriendsConnect, a free, wireless service provided by Friends of WVU Hospitals. If you have trouble with your internet connection, please call the WVU Medicine Help Desk at 304-598-4357. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
