Harrison Community Hospital History: 1968 to present
For more than 50 years, Harrison Community Hospital (HCH) has served Harrison County and the surrounding counties in the tri-state area.
Our 25-bed critical access hospital offers a complete array of services including 24-hour emergency care, surgical procedures, imaging services, outpatient and inpatient laboratory testing, rehabilitation, and an outpatient infusion facility.
- The hospital is located on the site which was once the Harrison County Children’s Home.
- Through their dedication and the generosity of the community, HCH broke ground in 1968. The hospital saw its first patient in January 1970. Harrison Community Hospital, largely through the efforts of local residents, determined to have a hospital in their county.
