Walk 100 Miles in 100 Days®

Walk 100 Miles in 100 Days® is a 15-week challenge that encourages participants to complete an average of one mile per day over 100 days through walking or other forms of movement that work best for them.
Now in its 32nd year, the annual program will start on May 18, 2026 and will run through August 25, 2026.
In 2025, there were over 8,800 people who participated making Walk 100 Miles in 100 Days® the largest exercise challenge in the state of West Virginia.
Kick-off Walk:
This year, there will be a kick-off walk held at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 12:00 Noon. The walk will be led by the WVU Mountaineer mascot and all are welcome to participate. Participants are asked to gather at the outside entrance next to the Bruce McClymonds Conference Center to go for a one mile walk (weather permitting).
Registration:
The registration deadline is May 29, 2026.
