Rural Health Clinic

The Rural Health Clinic at Summersville Regional Medical Center provides our community convenient access to high quality patient care, delivered by providers with exceptional clinical skills. The clinic’s doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are dedicated to providing the best care possible for each patient.

Always accepting new patients, the clinic is open to patients aged 18 and older. We encourage you to become a patient before you need us. While we welcome new patients, we cannot take new patients on a walk-in basis, as an urgent care center would. Our clinic offers access to a variety of services close to home by providers you know and trust, often with same-day appointments.

Our clinic sees patients for routine checkups and:

  • Vaccines and immunizations
  • Diabetes management care
  • Urinalysis
  • Small biopsies
  • Joint injections
  • Employer and sports physicals
  • Cold, flu, sore throat, earaches, fever, and sinus infections
  • Upper respiratory conditions
  • Diarrhea and nausea
  • Cuts and wound care
  • Rashes and dermatologic conditions
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Sprains, strains, and fractures
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • High cholesterol
  • Asthma and COPD
  • In-office EKGs

Sliding fee payments and prescription medication assistance programs are available.
