Wellness at WVU Medicine

WVU Medicine is committed to providing opportunities for WVU Medicine students, employees, and their families to create and maintain healthy and active lifestyles.

Our wellness resources enable students and employees to improve their cardiovascular health, decrease stress levels, and enhance their quality of life by participating in regular physical activity as well as stress management programs. Employees and their families have numerous fitness and recreation programs in which to participate.

The mission of the Wellness Center is to provide opportunities for all Health Sciences Campus of West Virginia University employees and their families to create and maintain healthy and active lifestyles. By improving employees’ health, the Wellness Center’s mission supports the organization’s mission to provide a quality healthcare system to the citizens of West Virginia and the surrounding region.

Human Performance Lab

The WVU School of Medicine’s Human Performance Lab (HPL) is an exercise facility which provides a variety of services to the public as well as WVU employees, such as health assessments and individualized fitness plans.

Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park

Members and beneficiaries of Peak Health’s health insurance plans will have free access to the Aquatic Center and other Mylan Park recreation and fitness facilities through the Mylan Park MyPARK Pass program.

To promote an environment where employees can enhance their health, the Wellness Center offers a variety of programs.
