The birth of a child is a memorable event, and we are proud to be able to share this time with you and your family. Our healthcare teams are highly skilled in caring for you during labor, delivery, and postpartum, and for your newborn baby. The Women’s and Children’s Units are secured units for the safety of the new mothers, babies and children in our care. Access to these units is limited and monitored round the clock by our security staff.

Special Delivery Unit

Camden Clark’s Special Delivery Unit specializes in family-centered care. The unit includes:

  • 9 labor and delivery suites
  • 13-bed postpartum unit
  • 3 Triage Bays
  • Newborn nursery
  • 12-bed pediatric unit located adjacent to the Special Delivery Unit

The nursing staff is highly skilled in caring for you during labor, delivery, and postpartum, and for your newborn baby.

Maternal Family Education Program

WVU Medicine Camden Clark currently offers six classes, all free of charge, whether you delivered with us or not. To view class date/times and to register, click on the class name on the right. All participants should check in at the information desk upon arrival to the hospital to be directed to the correct location.

Lactation Consulting

We currently have four lactation consultants on staff. Our team is ready to assist you after delivery and beyond with your lactation needs. Need extra assistance or have questions? For your safety, we’ve gone Virtual! This is a virtual, monthly one hour meeting one Wednesday a month. Breastfeeding mothers discussing common questions and concerns led by a lactation consultant.
