Wetzel County Hospital offers several inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Our highly trained therapists and staff are experienced in treating a wide variety of health issues to relieve pain, improve strength, and regain mobility.
Your rehabilitation team will develop a patient care plan tailor-made for your specific needs. Our therapists prepare each patient for a safe return home by addressing assistive device recommendations/training and home safety setup.
Conditions we treat with rehabilitation services include:
- Balance impairments and fall risk
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder
- Congestive heart failure
- Neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease
- Orthopedic conditions, such as joint replacement and fractures
- Post-surgery recovery
- Stroke
Other rehabilitation services we offer include the only aquatic therapy program in the area, functional/trigger point dry needling for pain relief, and neuromuscular vital stimulation and modified barium swallow testing for swallowing disorders.
For those experiencing an acute illness, we also provide a swing bed program as an alternative to prolonged hospitalization or short-term nursing facility, including skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services.
