Local Astorg Auto family of businesses donate to Camden Clark Foundation Pink Mammogram Fund

Astorg Auto, Auto iPacket, LLC and Mothman Harley Davidson present over $14,000 in proceeds from 10th Annual Drive Pink initiative

Astorg Auto, Auto iPacket, LLC and Mothman Harley Davidson continued the 10th annual Drive Pink Month initiative in 2024 to support the Camden Clark Foundation and efforts made locally to combat breast cancer.

Representatives from Astorg, iPacket, Mothman Harley Davidson and WVU Medicine Camden Clark gathered on Friday, December 6 for a check presentation to celebrate the proceeds collected from sales during the Annual Drive Pink Month in October. Astorg Auto and Mothman Harley Davidson provided $6,125, with iPacket contributing $8,000, collectively providing $14,125 to benefit the Camden Clark Foundation's Pink Mammogram Fund. The generous donations will provide approximately 141 free screening mammograms for local patients.

For more than a decade, the Camden Clark Foundation's Pink Mammogram Fund has provided free screening mammograms, associated diagnostics and biopsies when indicated for uninsured or underinsured patients in the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding communities. The Pink Mammogram fund has funded more than 3,000 free procedures for local patients since its establishment.

Mammography is the best screening tool for the early detection of breast cancer. According to the WVU Cancer Institute, female breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cause of cancer deaths among West Virginians and one in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. The National Breast Cancer Foundation estimates 310,720 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2024.
