Generosity Heals

About the Foundation

The Camden Clark Foundation’s mission is to develop relationships and financial resources to support the health care programs, projects and services at WVU Medicine Camden Clark.

Your generosity is a powerful way to positively effect change.  Our service depends on your ongoing commitment and friendship.

Generous donations from our community, patients, and their families as well as our physicians and employees have enabled us to help identify and eliminate barriers to care in our community since 1987.

LIGHTING THE WAY

The Camden Clark Foundation honors and recognizes your loved ones through the tree lighting and luminary dedication ceremony.  Each of the beautiful candles we see in the windows have been sponsored in honor of or in memory of those chosen individually by many throughout the community.

The luminaries will glow throughout the Holiday season truly “Lighting the Way” into the coming year.  These luminaries are lighted candles and placed in the windows of the South Tower until the New Year.  Each candle lights automatically nightly 6-12 hours and are purchased in memory or in honor of your loved one.

All proceeds are designated to the Transportation Fund and benefit our Oncology patients.

Holiday music selections begin the program on Facebook with a welcome family, friends and staff by our Foundation Board and Administration.  Your loved one’s name will be read and listed on the Facebook screen for you to view following the ceremony until December 31.

You can purchase a luminary by submitting $10 or more to PayPal, calling the Camden Clark Foundation 304-424-2200 or by mail: Camden Clark Foundation, PO Box 1834, Parkersburg, WV 26102

Thank you for taking a pause during this busy holiday season to remember and honor those we love and miss.

In this Season of Giving, tax-deductible gifts from families like yours have been vitally important to our growth and support of WVU Medicine Camden Clark over these past 35 years. As we approach the end of the year, please consider a charitable gift to help us care for the tiniest patients here at WVU Medicine Camden Clark.

We have big plans in 2023 to assist our new babies in living whole and satisfying lives by providing support right from the start. Your gift to the Women and Children’s Fund will provide our smallest patients with Lullaby Pacifiers. 1 in 10 babies are born premature and these babies typically are not able to eat on their own right away. The PAL® is a medical device that encourages and reinforces the development of sucking with soft music when infants use the proper technique.

This new initiative supports the best outcomes for Mommies and Babies, and the future of those who call the Mid-Ohio-Valley home.

If you have experienced an increase in your tax rate, you may find savings from gifts will be even greater than last year. If you are updating your estate plans, please consider including us in addition to outright gifts of cash or other property.

We thank you for your generosity. Generosity truly heals, and it supports, educates, and elevates the lives of those closest to us. If you have questions about making a year-end gift, please call us at (304) 424-2200.

Wishing you all the Blessings of the Season,

Jon Leavitt
President, Camden Clark Foundation

Pink by Poolside

The Camden Clark Foundation has been the host of 8 Annual Pink by Poolside amazing events.  This exciting occasion takes place the 2nd Friday after Labor Day at the Parkersburg Country Club from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

100% of proceeds will go towards providing mammograms. In the past eight years since our first event, we have provided more than 1,800 procedures to underinsured and uninsured Mid-Ohio Valley residents.  We have expanded our assistance from screening mammograms and diagnostics to biopsies and genetic testing.

The 2022 event featured “Club Pink” with a dance floor, reserved tables, and a “Wine Pull.”  We are working with five Catering/Restaurants, and each will provide hot and cold food items for the event.  Crown Event Rentals & Crown Florals will provide décor and fresh florals, and our “Club Pink” DJ will entertain and set a musical tone for the evening.

We encourage everyone to wear something PINK to join in the fun and bring awareness to support our efforts in the progress we are making together to defeat breast cancer.

This is Pink BY Poolside and is not a swimming event.

Tickets are purchased online, by mail or call the Foundation at 304-424-2200.

Your participation in this worthy fundraiser supports better breast cancer patient outcomes in our community!
