Our Patient Visitation Policy is designed to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for patients, families, and visitors. This policy outlines your rights, expectations, and procedures to ensure that visitation enhances care without compromising health and safety.
We are committed to respecting every individual’s dignity and preferences, and we aim to accommodate visits with compassion, clarity, and flexibility.
Patient Rights
Patients may designate visitors, including:
- Spouse or domestic partner (including same-sex partners)
- Family members or friends
- Clergy or spiritual support
- A support person (who may act on the patient’s behalf)
No discrimination based on:
- Age
- Race
- Religion
- Culture
- Disability
- Sex
- Sexual orientation
- Gender identity
General Visiting Guidelines
Visiting Hours: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Children Under 12:
- Discouraged in care areas
- Not allowed after hours
Clergy: May visit at any time
Hand Hygiene: Required upon entry and exit of patient rooms
Communicable Illness:
- Visitors must be symptom-free
- Or wear appropriate PPE
Restricted Areas:
- No visitors in Operating Rooms or during dialysis
- Special permissions required for certain areas
Animal Policy: Only service animals allowed
After-Hours Visitation
Access Points After 8:00 pm:
- Emergency Room entrance
- Pavilion entrance
Visitor Limit: 1 visitor per patient after hours
Security Check-in: Required for all after-hours entry
Exit Points:
- ER
- Pavilion
- Pharmacy side door
- Helipad exit
