The Thomas Foundation was founded in 1989 to support Herbert J. Thomas Jr., Memorial Hospital and later Saint Francis Hospital. The two hospitals have been serving our communities for nearly 200 years. As a non-profit foundation, we practice philanthropy to cultivate donor relationships; these donations, gifts, grants, and endowments serve to provide valued resources that support Thomas Hospitals’ mission to deliver compassionate and exceptional healthcare to improve the well-being of the communities we serve.

At the Thomas Foundation, we ensure all donations are stewarded directly toward the greatest needs of the hospitals and the patients we serve. We partner with individuals and corporations who share our vision and support our philanthropic efforts. All monies raised by the Thomas Foundation remain in our local community. The Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors comprised of community leaders who oversee the work of the Foundation.
