Admission and Discharge

At Garrett Regional Medical Center, we strive to treat every patient like a member of our own family.

To let you know what to expect as a patient at GRMC, you will be given a copy of our Patient Guide when admitted. The guide is provided to help answer questions and concerns, but you should always feel free to ask hospital staff for additional information about your hospital stay and/or treatment.

It is recommended that you bring a photo ID along with any insurance information when coming to the hospital. Once here, our admissions staff will assist you through the admissions process, answering questions you may have and providing you with information about your stay.

Upon discharge, our team will talk with you about what your needs will be upon returning home, and will help arrange any additional help you may require. Once at home, you will receive a follow-up call from the hospital within three or four days of your discharge to determine how you are doing.
