About Us

The Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation serves as the development arm of the hospital to raise funds to continuously improve facilities, equipment, services, and programs in addition to providing funding for employee reimbursement scholarships.

The Foundation was established September 1, 1987, at the suggestion of Jacquelyn Shirer, who at that time was a member of the hospital Board of Governors.

Since its inception, the foundation has raised more than 12 million dollars through community support by individual donors, businesses, and other foundations and non-profits.

Today, our foundation focuses on securing funds for critically important services to allow for state of the art healthcare.

Mission and Vision

The mission of the Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation is to cultivate support and fundraising for the hospital in order to have the best resources and be the first choice for excellence in patient-centered care.
