WVU Medicine’s financial assistance policy provides free care to patients who meet financial requirements based on federal poverty level guidelines.

Medicaid Shortfalls: $340,784,000

WVU Medicine is a leading provider of Medicaid services in West Virginia.

Education and Research

Health Professions Education: $26,555,000

WVU Medicine is committed to a wide range of high-quality medical education that includes accredited training programs for residents, physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.

Medical Research: $1,025,000

WVU Medicine includes an academic medical center that is heavily focused on research on issues that affect West Virginians.

Community Investment
