WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital welcomes new medical director of emergency medicine
UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Neal Baker, D.O., has been named the new medical director of emergency medicine at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital.
In this role, Dr. Baker will oversee the hospital’s Emergency Department, working with leadership, providers, and staff to ensure quality patient care for the more than 50,000 patients treated by the department annually.
Baker brings years of experience in civilian and military environments. After graduating from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, he commissioned in the United States Navy, completing internship and emergency medicine residency training at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia, and serving in several positions, including as a flight surgeon, attending physician, unit surgeon, and senior medical officer.
Most recently, Baker served as the medical director of the Emergency Department at East Carolina University Health Duplin Hospital.
