WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital welcomes new medical director and specialists to orthopedic center

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Justin Zenner, D.O., has joined WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital as the medical director of orthopedics to lead a newly rejuvenated team of specialties. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Zenner to Uniontown Hospital’s orthopedic team,” Karyn Wallace, president and CEO of Uniontown Hospital, said. “His years of experience in Southwestern Pennsylvania, extensive training and skill set, and approach to leadership make him a perfect fit for our organization.”

Dr. Zenner brings years of experience and advanced training in a wide range of areas, including general orthopedic, shoulder, elbow, and knee surgery, and sports medicine. 

After graduating from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, he continued education and training with positions at St. Joseph’s/St. Elizabeth’s Health Centers, Ohio University, and Allegheny Health Network’s Allegheny General Hospital.

“I am looking forward to working with leadership, hospital staff, and my esteemed colleagues to advance the orthopedic discipline here at Uniontown Hospital, focusing on patient success and positive outcomes,” Zenner said. “This team is very skilled and dedicated to growing and investing to meet the needs of our community.”

In addition to Zenner, Uniontown Hospital recently welcomed Peter Howard, M.D., and Jeffrey Manway, D.P.M. 

Dr. Howard received his medical degree from Duke University, completed his residency at George Washington University, and completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. 

Dr. Manway received his medical degree from Temple University and completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

“These physicians join a talented complement of providers, ensuring that patients in Uniontown and surrounding areas have options for care across the spectrum of orthopedic care,” Wallace said.
