WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital recognized by the Center for Organ Recovery and Education
UNIONTOWN, Pa. – WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital received the Titanium Award from the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE), in recognition of the hospital’s efforts in the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania’s Donate Life Month Hospital Challenge.
The Titanium Award is the highest level of distinction given to organizations and reflects the dedication of the Uniontown Hospital CORE team, leadership, providers, and staff.
“Receiving the Titanium Award is a significant honor for our team, but our goal was simply to be a good partner to CORE and informational resource for patients and the community,” Jarrod McMaster, D.N.P., R.N., director of Critical Care Services and Education at Uniontown Hospital, said. “Organ and tissue donation represents the ultimate gift of life for so many patients and families who are waiting for a miracle. We are proud to stand with CORE in supporting this important mission.”
The hospital held a variety of activities during Donate Life Month, recognized annually in April, including multiple in-services, CORE flag raising ceremony, and on-campus memorial service.
“WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital went above and beyond this year championing the cause of donation,” Kori Aubel, professional services liaison for CORE, said. “Their commitment not only saves lives but also ensures donor families know their loved ones’ legacies live on. It is an honor to work with such a dedicated team”
