WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals Relaunches “Pregnancy Connections” Program
WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals is proud to announce the relaunch of its Pregnancy Connections program, made possible through new funding that expands access to maternal health and recovery services for expectant mothers in the community.
While pregnancy is often a joyful experience, it can also bring challenges that affect a mother’s physical and emotional health. Pregnancy Connections provides personalized care, counseling, and education to help women make healthy, confident choices for themselves and their babies.
“Our Pregnancy Connections program reflects our deep commitment to supporting women and families throughout every stage of life,” said Greg Rosencrance, M.D., president and CEO of Thomas Hospitals. “This program strengthens our ability to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that helps mothers and babies thrive.”
The program offers individualized support that includes behavioral health and addiction counseling, group therapy with other expectant mothers, and educational classes focused on childbirth, breastfeeding, infant care, and parenting. Participants are also connected with vital community resources such as OB-GYN care, behavioral health services, social services, and family support programs including WIC, WV Right From the Start, Birth to Three, and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Pregnancy Connections continues to support mothers for up to two years after delivery, helping both mothers and children build a strong foundation for long-term health and success.
