Dream Team volunteers visit patients between 8 and 10 p.m., offering items and assistance to help create a more restful environment.

Services include providing ear plugs, eye masks, warm blankets, puzzle books, and coloring pages, as well as helping adjust room settings such as thermostat temperature, television volume, and channel selection - including access to the hospital’s calming care channel featuring soothing music.

“The Dream Team is a simple but meaningful way we can enhance the patient experience," Nancy Beckner, CDVS, volunteer coordinator, said. “By focusing on comfort and rest, our volunteers are helping patients feel more at ease and supported during a critical time in their care.”
