Carol Grove, DNP, RN, Joins WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center in Key Leadership Role

WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center is pleased to announce that Carol Grove, DNP, RN, will assume the role of Assistant Vice President, Patient Care Services, effective Feb. 16, 2026. Carol Grove poses for a photo.

Grove is an experienced nursing leader and a familiar face within the WVU Medicine system, most recently serving at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. With a strong background in nursing recruitment, staff development, and team building, she brings proven expertise that will be essential as Berkeley Medical Center expands services and constructs a new patient tower.

Grove will report to Samantha Richards, Vice President, Chief Nursing and Operations Officer.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carol to our leadership team,” said Richards. “Her depth of experience, her commitment to team development, and her strong leadership in clinical operations will bring tremendous value to our organization as we continue to grow and enhance the care we provide to our communities.”

Grove has a deep connection to the Maryland and West Virginia Panhandle region, having held leadership positions at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Her leadership experience spans a wide range of clinical areas, including inpatient nursing units, emergency services, and cardiac procedural departments including oversight of open-heart surgery services. This breadth of experience positions her well to support ongoing growth and operational excellence as WVU Medicine expands open heart procedures to the Eastern Panhandle.

“I am excited and honored to join WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center,” Grove said. “I look forward to supporting our teams, advancing our clinical services, and contributing to the outstanding work already happening across both hospitals.”
