Occupational therapy is a science-driven, evidence-based profession that enables people of all ages to participate in daily living, even with an injury, illness, or disability.

Occupational therapists are healthcare professionals who help people resume or maintain participation in a variety of tasks in their jobs, leisure and social activities, homes, and more, teaching new ways to perform tasks and how to adapt environments to fit patients’ needs. Their work helps people do as much as they can as safely and effectively as they can.

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital thanks its hard-working occupational therapy staff for their caring and dedication.
