WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center has announced plans to acquire Ohio Valley Health Care, with the transaction to be completed effective June 30, 2023.
Camden Clark and Ohio Valley Health Care hosted a formal signing ceremony to finalize the acquisition of the skilled nursing facility, which took place on Friday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at Ohio Valley Health Care.
“We’re thrilled for the opportunity to expand access to services we offer residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding region, but also to align with such a reputable healthcare organization,” said WVU Medicine Camden Clark President and CEO, Steve Altmiller. “This agreement allows us to continue to meet the needs of our community and introduce the critical element of post-acute care. Ohio Valley Health Care has provided exceptional care for families within our area for more than 70 years, and we look forward to continuing to serve their legacy as part of this partnership.”
Ohio Valley Health Care is a 66-bed senior community and skilled nursing facility located in Parkersburg, serving Mid-Ohio Valley families since 1951. The current Ohio Valley Health Care leadership team will continue to oversee the skilled nursing facility, with plans to maintain staff employment, and provide a seamless transition for residents and their families.

Camden Clark announced plans to acquire Ohio Valley Health Care earlier this year, with the transaction to be completed on June 30, 2023.
