Dr. Anthony Holden joins WVU Heart Institute
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Heart surgeon Anthony Holden, M.D., has joined the WVU Heart Institute. He specializes in cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve surgery, surgery for atrial fibrillation and mitral valve repair surgery.
“I’m excited to be a part of the WVU Heart Institute,” Dr. Holden said. “The people of West Virginia are fortunate to have a unique, multidisciplinary group of physicians at WVU, including cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. Together, we individualize each patient’s care with a collaborative, team approach.”
Holden earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and completed specialty training in general surgery at the University of Arizona Health Science Center and in thoracic surgery at University Hospital SUNY, Syracuse, NY. Holden is board certified in general and thoracic surgery.
