University Health Associates receives Aetna Better Health of West Virginia Quality All-Star Award

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – University Health Associates (UHA), the affiliated practice plan of the WVU School of Medicine in Morgantown, received the Quality All-Star Award from Aetna Better Health of West Virginia on May 17. UHA was one of eight organizations across the state to receive the award for their actions to improve member outcomes in 2022.

This award recognizes the strong partnership between UHA and Aetna Better Health of West Virginia as well as the work UHA has done to improve wellness and preventive care and Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set reporting performance. UHA was identified as having high performance for breast cancer screenings and A1Cs less than 8.

The Aetna Better Health of West Virginia’s Quality All-Star Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in healthcare quality improvement. Recipients of the annual award are selected for their accomplishments in improving health outcomes and their partnership to help Aetna Better Health of West Virginia members through their healthcare journey.
