St. Joseph’s Hospital recognizes Radiologic Technologists

BUCKHANNON, WV – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognized its Radiologic Technologists during National Radiologic Technology Week Nov. 8-12. The week calls attention to the important role medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals play in patient care and health care safety. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Essential Together.”

“The commitment and hard work of our radiological technologists is critical to providing the best in care for our patients at St. Joseph’s Hospital,” Tom Nestor, St. Joseph’s Hospital director of diagnostic imaging, said.

National Radiologic Technology Week is celebrated each year during the week of November 8 to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895.
