St. Joseph’s Hospital celebrates Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists Week

BUCKHANNON, WV – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is thanking its Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists during National Certified Registered week January 23-29.

CRNA Week is an annual celebration of the more than 59,000 CRNAs from across the nation. It is a tribute to those who work tirelessly to save lives and continuously provide the best possible patient care.

“As we continue to work through the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognize the heroism of our CRNAs,” Skip Gjolberg, WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital president, said. “During the COVID shutdown of our operating rooms the CRNA team headed up our monoclonal antibody infusion center, doing a great job keeping people healthy and out of the hospital. They ensure that we provide safe anesthesia care to all of our patients.”

“Our CRNAs are truly trusted anesthesia experts on the frontlines here at St. Joseph’s Hospital,” Kevin Stingo, Director of Surgical Services, said.
