New providers - October 2019

The following providers joined WVU Medicine in October:

ANESTHESIOLOGY

Lumei Miller, MD, has joined WVU Medicine as a neuro-anesthesiologist. Dr. Miller was formerly employed at UPMC. She completed an anesthesiology residency at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital.  
                                                
COMMUNITY PRACTICE 

Alexia Bozek, MD, has joined WVU Medicine as a primary care physician at the Cheat Lake Clinic in Morgantown. Dr. Bozek was formerly with Settlement Health in New York City. She completed a family medicine residency at WVU.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE

William Kelley, MD, has joined WVU Medicine as an emergency medicine physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Dr. Kelley came to WVU Medicine from Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, West Virginia. 

FAMILY MEDICINE

Robert Allison, DO, has joined WVU Medicine as a family medicine geriatrician. Dr. Allison was the geriatric fellowship associate program director and the family medicine residency osteopathic program director at Washington Health System. Besides practicing primary care, he was a palliative care fellowship faculty member at Washington Health System. 

HEART AND VASCULAR INSTITUTE

Angela Smolarz, MD, has joined WVU Medicine as a cardiac critical care specialist. Dr. Smolarz was formerly employed at Sparrow Medical Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. She completed a critical care medicine fellowship at Louisiana State University.

MEDICINE

Pooja Sahni, MD, has joined WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center as a hematologist/oncologist. Dr. Sahni completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. 

SURGERY

Roberto Lopez-Solis, MD, is the associate director of the WVU Medicine Kidney Transplant Program. Dr. Lopez is a former assistant professor and director of organ procurement at Thomas L. Starzl Transplantation Institute at UPMC.
