Several drives scheduled for June and July in Mon, Marion, and Preston
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The American Red Cross has a severe blood shortage. All blood types are needed, especially type O. Donations are crucial to support patients’ ongoing medical needs and unforeseen emergencies, including those at WVU Medicine hospitals, especially as the number of trauma cases, organ transplants, and elective surgeries rise.
More than a dozen blood drives are scheduled in Monongalia, Marion, and Preston counties throughout the remainder of June and all through July. All blood drives can be found at RedCrossBlood.org by using the search bar in the top right, and typing in the zip code or the sponsor code for the drive.
