WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals Partners with Associated Radiologists, Inc.
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals today announced a partnership with Associated Radiologists, Inc. (ARI) for on-site radiology needs. Through the partnership, ARI and Thomas Hospitals will deliver advanced medical imaging capabilities and services to enhance patient care and outcomes.
A leading provider of advanced diagnostic and interventional radiology services, ARI has been a cornerstone of radiology in the region for more than 55 years, dedicating 52 years to patients in the Kanawha Valley at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC). Effective today, ARI will provide radiology services exclusively for patients at Thomas Hospitals.
Thomas Hospitals previously contracted with Kanawha Valley Radiologists, which was recently incorporated into ARI.
“ARI’s clinical experience coupled with its reputation of providing excellent service to patients makes them well-positioned to bring cutting-edge imaging technology and practices to Thomas Hospitals,” Greg Rosencrance, M.D., president and CEO of WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals, said. “We are excited to collaborate with these local, on-site radiologists to provide state-of-the-art imaging services on our campuses, ensuring that patients continue to have access to the most accurate and efficient diagnostic tools available.”
As part of the new partnership, Thomas Hospitals and ARI plan to incorporate state-of-the-art 3T MRI, additional CT scanners, and advanced PET imaging techniques to better serve all patients, including those with oncology needs such as breast, genitourinary, lung and colorectal cancer, as well as cardiac, musculoskeletal, pediatric, and pulmonary conditions.
“Our dedicated team of radiology specialists is eager to bring the same level of expertise and quality service to WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals that our patients and clinical staff have relied on for the past five decades,” Dr. Johnsey Leef, President of ARI, added. “Our radiologists are energized not only to serve the healthcare needs of the citizens of the Kanawha Valley, but also to meet the healthcare needs of West Virginia residents in collaboration with WVU Medicine.”
ARI employs board-certified radiologists, providing sub-specialty interpretations, including diagnostic, abdominal imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, pediatrics and women’s imaging.
