Princeton Community Hospital re-accredited by DNV for hip and knee replacements
WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) has again earned accreditation for its hip and knee replacement program from DNV (Det Norske Veritas), a globally recognized independent certification body. This achievement underscores PCH’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, high-quality healthcare that meets rigorous international standards.
As an accrediting organization approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), DNV ensures hospitals meet all federal requirements for patient care and safety. Re-accreditation confirms that PCH continues to align with these essential benchmarks.
In 2024, more than 750 elective joint replacements were performed at PCH, which has surpassed 2,000 robotic-assisted joint replacement procedures to date. PCH is the leading provider of Mako robotic joint replacement in West Virginia. PCH ranks 7th in the number of robotic-assisted procedures out of 73 hospitals in its territory, which includes major healthcare centers in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Erie, Columbus, and Youngstown.
Also in 2024, PCH was designated as a Top Performing Hospital for Total Knee Replacement by US News and World Report earning recognition for PCH’s commitment to high-quality robotic assisted-care close to home in southern West Virginia and beyond.
