PCH expands into Raleigh County with new primary care and vein clinic

BECKLEY, W.Va. - WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) is proud to announce the opening of its first location in Raleigh County - the Beckley Primary Care and Vein Clinic, led by longtime Raleigh County physician Dr. Matthew Arvon.

The new clinic represents a major milestone for PCH and the WVU Medicine system as it continues to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive care across southern West Virginia.

“Bringing our first location to Raleigh County marks an exciting step forward in our mission to make WVU Medicine’s world-class care more accessible to the people of this region,” said Karen Bowling, PCH president and CEO. “Dr. Arvon’s deep local roots and exceptional reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care make him the perfect partner to launch this new chapter.”

Dr. Arvon, a Beckley native and well-known internal medicine physician, joins WVU Medicine with more than 20 years of clinical experience serving patients throughout Raleigh County. He specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and management of adult medical conditions, as well as advanced evaluation and treatment for vein disorders.

By joining the WVU Medicine network, Dr. Arvon’s patients now have direct access to a full spectrum of specialty services through PCH including cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and women’s health, as well as seamless connections to the state’s top academic medical center in Morgantown.

“This partnership allows us to combine local, personalized care with the resources of a leading academic health system,” said Dr. Arvon. “Patients can stay close to home while receiving the same level of excellence they would expect from a major medical center.”

The Beckley Primary Care and Vein Clinic is now accepting new patients.
