The 15,214 square-foot Outpatient Clinic is located on the 10th floor of WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital, located adjacent to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on the WVU Medicine campus in Morgantown.
The new clinic was designed with patients and families in mind. It brings multiple existing pediatric specialties, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pulmonology, Sleep Disorders, Plastic Surgery, Trauma, and Surgery, along with their associated multidisciplinary clinics and procedure spaces, together in one new dedicated space.
“This is another important step in our commitment to bringing world-class care closer to home,” Michael A. Grace, Ed. D., M.B.A., F.A.C.H.E., president and CEO of WVU Hospitals and senior vice president and chief operating officer of the WVU Health System, said. “Providing care in a child-friendly environment designed specifically for families makes a meaningful difference for patients who are already facing complex medical challenges.”
Since opening more than three years ago, WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital has experienced continued growth in demand for pediatric specialty services. Anticipating that growth, hospital leaders intentionally preserved shelled space on the 10th floor to allow for future expansion. The new Outpatient Clinic fulfills that vision by increasing appointment availability and streamlining care for families.
“This clinic represents so much more than a new space,” Amy L. Bush, B.S.N., M.B.A., R.N., C.N.O.R., chief administrative officer of WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s, said. “It reflects nearly a year of hard work, incredible collaboration, and the unwavering support of our community. Most importantly, it means more coordinated, compassionate care for families when they need it most.”
By offering multiple specialty services in one location, the clinic reduces the need for multiple visits and helps families spend less time traveling and more time focused on their child’s care.
