Potomac Valley Hospital Named One of West Virginia’s Most Recommended Hospitals

Keyser, W.Va.WVU Medicine Potomac Valley Hospital has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the top hospitals in West Virginia that patients would recommend.

The list is based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), collected and published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Potomac Valley Hospital is proud to be one of only eight hospitals in the state to earn this distinction.

“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to compassionate, high-quality care and an excellent patient experience for our community,” said Mark Boucot, President and CEO of Potomac Valley Hospital and Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Md. “Our staff fully embody our mission statement to treat every patient like family.”

The patient recommendation star rating reflects responses to three key HCAHPS survey questions, evaluating whether patients would recommend the hospital to friends and family. This data was gathered from July 2023 to June 2024, with results released on April 30 through CMS' Provider Data Catalog.
